The sales season is traditionally linked to the creation of new jobs. Adecco expects that these discounts will generate 113,820 contracts, which is 8% more than a year ago. In the Valencian autonomy, 16,960 contracts will be signed, 9% more than in 2017.
Once again, these will be sectors linked to mass consumption, such as fine perfumery, cosmetics, electronics, toys, food, distribution, retail, image, sound, logistics, transportation and Email Data even hospitality. and restaurants that generate the most jobs.
Regarding the number of hires, customer service and sales force, they will be the areas that bring together the most contracts. Specifically, the commercial profile – promoters, image hostesses, teleoperators or shop assistants – will be the most sought after in this next campaign.
Valencian Community, 2nd in the regional employment ranking
Catalonia heads the employment ranking by autonomies, with its 18,890 new jobs. They are followed by the Valencian Community, with 16,960, and the Madrid Community, with 14,930. They are the three autonomies that will carry out the most hiring in terms of the regional distribution of the sales campaign.
The sales campaign is therefore expected to be positive. In fact, it is expected that all autonomous communities can improve their figures compared to 2017. However, some will improve to a greater extent than others.
Taking into account the percentage increase that they have experienced with respect to the previous sales campaign in January, Cantabria will be the one that progresses the most, with an increase of 25%. They are followed by the Community of Madrid, with an increase of 15%, Galicia, with 13%, and the Balearic Islands, Asturias, Aragon and Andalusia, each with an increase of 10%.
Already below 10%, they are followed by the Valencian Community and Castilla y León, which will see their hiring increase by 9%, that is, one point above the national average.
Valencia, the fourth province with the most employment
At the provincial level, Madrid, with 14,930 contracts, Barcelona, with 14,670, Murcia, with 14,200, and Valencia, with 12,580, are the ones that will generate the most jobs in this period of sales. Half of the jobs in this recruitment campaign in Spain will be created in these four provinces, which demonstrates its great territorial concentration.
The province of the Valencian Community that will create the most jobs, in addition to Valencia, which is the fourth largest generator of employment at the national level, is Castellón, with 2,415 jobs. Alicante, for its part, will sign 1,960 contracts for the sales campaign.
