Implement improvement measures and take advantage of the results of the Educational Performance Assessment (ADE) to redefine pedagogical strategies in schools. They are a global monitoring tool for education networks, with the aim of monitoring historical series of.

Educational system performance in order to verify trends over time and reorient public educational policies. This research aimed to analyze the results of 8th and 9th year students in Portuguese Language and Mathematics in the Student Performance Assessment – ​​ADE and compare them to the general performance of the municipal education network in Manaus in the period from 2017 to 2019. Semed's educational system regarding Elementary Education, final years and 9th grade, has not shown satisfactory learning rates. Hence the need to apply an external assessment, in order to understand student performance and reflect on the factors that eventually influence student learning and performance in assessments. Based on the schools' results and performance, it was possible to carry out a comparative analysis.
